My Story!

Hi! For those of you who don't know, I am Diana and my passions in life involve: family, religion, horses, fitness, clean eating, and helping others be physically and financially fit!

So I have tried this blogging thing before and was never able to be consistent. I mean who really cared about my life and were those blogs useful, educational?? Anyway, I've decided to try it again!! :) I now feel like I have useful information to put out there.

So here is my story...

Since I can remember, I have LOVED horses! They were my first passion (or maybe I should say obsession??). Horses have made me the person I am today!
My family has always supported me in everything I do! Pretty cool huh?? I have wonderful parents, a husband who was made for me, and a few great in-laws!
Religion...this is kinda new for me honestly. I grew up going to church sometimes and sometimes not. I always knew I was a Christian, but did not really practice. In 2012, my husband and I got invited to a church barbeque from some of his clients. We went and decided we wanted to go to that same church the next Sunday and check it out. Long story short, we LOVED it! I think secretly, we both were 'ready', but hadn't yet discussed it with each other. We are now fully involved!! Now, I am very quick to tell you I am not a perfect Christian. I mean who is?? One of the things that I am currently focusing on is my prayer life and my relationship with God.
I started my clean eating journey over 2 years ago. I had always eaten pretty healthy, but wanted to lose a few pounds from my holiday indulgences. A couple of my friends from high school were eating clean and I asked them a few questions. Gradually, I knew I wanted to try it out. So I brought it up to my husband and told him that I couldn't do it without him on board. I was expecting him to say NO! To my surprise, he agreed to eat clean with me!! We did a gradual switch...starting with out water intake, then changing our snacks, then breakfast, etc until we were 100% clean. Now let me be sure to tell you, we do cheat from time to time, but try to eat clean 90% of the time :)
I was the kid that hated sports, unless you count horses and cheerleading anyway. I never worked out until my senior year of high school and I only did that because my best friend asked me to accompany her to the gym. In college, I tried running...several times and quit! In graduate school, I worked out pretty consistently at the school gym and later a gym in my hometown. Fitness was never something I enjoyed though. In November of 2012, I began to follow a girl that did Insanity. She had lost several pounds post baby with Insanity and she ate clean like me. In late December, I started running...like I had the last few years. Also in December, a friend asked me if I wanted to try Insanity. I said sure! I don't know why though haha. By February, I had forgotten about my friend asking me about Insanity and I was well into my 'Couch to 5K' program and that friend out of the blue brought me Insanity. I thought "oh geez, how am I going to fit this in?" I decided to message that girl who's page I had 'liked' in November. I really don't remember what I said or what she said, but it made me want to do Insanity! So I decided I would find a way to do both Insanity and the Couch to 5K program. By the end of February, I had quit the Couch to 5K...oops...and was fully invested in Insanity. I even tried this shake that 'that girl' was drinking while doing Insanity and eating clean. By the way, that was totally out of my character...buy a shake...seriously? But I trusted 'that girl'! By the way, 'that girl' is Erin :) I fell in LOVE with Insanity because it helped me feel and look like an athlete (something I have NEVER EVER felt like!)!! Now shakeology...the first time I purchased it I immediately felt guilty for spending the $, but soon fell in love with it's dense, daily nutrition!! It's sooo good for you, the top of the line in shakes, and helped me to lose those pesky 10lbs!! My energy was thru the roof and I felt and looked great! Erin added my to her accountability and support group and I added a new group of girlfriends to my life!
Helping others has not always came to easy to me. I mean HELLO, I am an only child lol. This journey is perhaps one of the coolest parts of my life! In March of 2013, I began to think about how I could help others have this newfound energy and confidence that I had worked so hard for! I thought about doing what Erin did. Then in mid March, Erin told me if I ever wanted to know more about what she did to let her know. I thought "YES!" In mid-March, I became a Fitness Coach (like Erin). I started out thinking "SWEET! I get a discount on my Shakeology and future workouts now!" and then decided this was my time to help others! Since then I have gained an AWESOME group of ladies in accountability groups and team!! Oh and my husband jumped on board (I told you my family supports me!).

Here is my Insanity Transformation! I lost 10lbs, but gained so much more!!

Here is my 1st Challenger and now a one of my fitness coaches. She is a mom of 3 and check out her transformation!! She drank Shakeology and did P90X!

Here is another one of my New Moms! She did this with eating clean and drinking Shakeology. She has since lost MORE weight and is now a fitness coach herself!

One last transformation photo! This lady was a NEW Mom too. She lost her baby weight by doing Focus T25 and eating clean!!

All three of these ladies have maintained their weight loss and continue to inspire me and other daily!!

One last note, to be a Fitness Coach, you do not have to be a Fitness or Nutrition expert! You just have to LOVE helping others!!!

It's been a while...

Hello there! It's been a while huh? Um I think about 3 years!! A lot has happened in those 3 years...3 places of work, pregnancy, and mom life! So what's new?? I worked at a small outpatient clinic...didn't like it! Went to an awesome hospital in the city...LOVED it!! Then after having my son took a position at a local hospital...only 8 minutes from home vs the hospital in the city which was 55 minutes on a good traffic day! I found out I was prego a few days before Christmas 2016...yes it was planned. For YEARS, we said NO kids ever! My father died in 2015 and my whole thought process on kiddos changed! Landon David arrived 8/14/17 via planned c section...he was breech! I stressed myself out incredibly too much about sleep, breastfeeding, being perfect, etc AND I suffered from Postpartum Depression and Anxiety! One thing I have learned about Motherhood is that you can plan, but you have to expect the unexpected!! Once I accepted this, my anxiety died down A LOT...
